Cats are very similar to people in many ways. Just as it is important to monitor what is happening in your cats stomach, you must also keep an eye on the quantity entering the belly of your cat. When people eat too much food, over time they become obese. Cats are the same, if they become accustomed to eating even though they want when they want, it is likely that you'll have a pretty fat cat on his hands after a while. This is especially true as your cat becomes older and less active. If you do not know if your cat is fat or not, there are few signs that you can see this effect are quite similar as to when you can tell if someone is overweight. ? A double chin is always a telltale sign of a weight problem. If you find that your cat has a lot of fat under the chin, they could have a weight problem. ? A big belly is another sign, if their stomach is hanging, they could have a weight problem ? Another is whether or not you can feel the ribs of your cat. In a healthy cat, you should be able to feel their chest, if you can not feel the rib cage of your cat, your cat is very overweight. Just as people think their weight is not a big deal, many cat owners may not feel too sad that their cat is a little overweight. The reality is that being overweight can cause many health problems for your cat. The more weight your cat on their body, more weight and pressure they have to carry on a daily basis. This is why it is so important to pay attention to what and how much your cat eats. If you find that your cat is overweight, you should probably talk to your vet about it and consider buying a food specially formulated for overweight cats. Whether you have an overweight cat or not, it is important to ensure that your cat gets the exercise they need. If you can not not overweight, exercise can help keep them active and avoid such a situation, but if your cat is overweight then the exercise will help them to cut a few pounds. The great advantage is that the exercise with your cat does not need to be a tedious activity, there may be lots of fun. Here are some ideas to help you get an exercise program started with your cat. ? Try to get your cat to run around some ? Walk with your cat ? Get your cat some new toys that will encourage them to exercise and jump around ? Strategically toys and treats all around the house in order ' encourage your cat to walk around ? Implement the games you play with your cat so it does not get bored ? Even if you are away for the day, approved leave toys out for your cat to play with. ? Also, it is sometimes the activity level of your cat if they have another feline companion to play while you're awayJust because you like change your food because something was cheaper around the store, or a new product looked better, does not mean you should skip around cat a cat food to another. Pets are funny that way, once they are accustomed to a certain type of food, switch to another brand because it was on sale not always agree with their stomachs. If you happen to want to change your cat's food, then you must do so slowly. Do not decide to replace the cat food cat food with B the next day so, you may find you have a cat with a very upset stomach. To change the food your cat without any digestive problems you will need to put just a little more in each meal, this process may take several weeks before the switch is complete. Trying to Feed Your KittenDealing with a kitten is completely different than an adult cat food. A kitten is essentially a baby in every way and needs the right amount of nutrition to move from one kitten to a cat healthy grown. Kittens are like babies in that they need to eat for strong bones, muscles and nervous system. You can not feed a kitten the same things that a cat eats its full development, they need their own special food until they are old enough to go to the next step. It is always smart to consult your physician before starting a regular routine of feeding your kitten, but you do not need to recognize that because they have high energy, they need food to feed their own body. You will find that your kitten nibble all day because they have the stomach smaller than adult cats. Like human babies, there will be times that your kitten does not seem particularly interested in food as when they are teething or have lost a baby tooth. In the same case that your kitten may eat a little more during growth spurts and others. Even when you kitten begins to look and behave like an adult cat, do not rush and buy food for adult cats, they should stick to cat food kitten until d a year because they need lots of calories. It could also come from forums that you should consult your vet about the food your cat needs, as if your female cat is pregnant or if your cat has health problems that are related to what they eat.
