My cat acts different whenever the moon is full or he can see it clearly. I live in a one bedroom apartment with a living room and he runs between the two windows, nothing else out there seems to cause this behaviour. btw...the sideawayswalking (that's what I like to call it when my cat does that is very funny, I also call it the "ShowLow dance" his name is ShowLow). He acts like he is all bad and is going to kill someone. From what I've read this make cat look bigger than they actually are to preditors, but it's very hilarious when he does this to me, although he did it more when he was a kitten than now.

people on this site are mean. i am trying to breed my cat, too. because there is such a high demand for hypo-allergenic kittens. we cant have just any cat, or else i would have gotten a free kitten instead of going through this. people have their own reason for breeding their cats, and if done responsibly, they shouldn't be attacked on the site where they post their questions.

I'm also trying to mate my 3 year old female cat, for the simple reason, I cant go out and bring home just any kitten. My cat is very anti-social with other cats. After and IF she does mate, she's a tabby, im trying to mate her with a male tabby, she's in heat now, but hopefully if they do mate, i'll get her spayed and neutered after this batch of kittens

Look, I can understand everyone's point about the pet overpopulation. The problem is most people are not able to shell out the 100 bucks they ask for up front, before you can even take the kitten home. If they are truely worried about the pet overpopulation, then lower the price of taking some of these pets home.

Perhaps your cats don't like each other. The mating process is not an easy one and the cats should be taken somewhere neutral. Let them alone, and hope for the best. It may tak several sessions to get the results that you are looking for. Be sure your friends cat is in season.

This being said, be sure that you and your friend are prepared for the responsibility of kittens and are ready to shoulder the cost of between 2-10 additional cats in the household.

Good luck!!

Good hints !!! Also, one of my little precious bundles, gets a kick out of double-hiding. I'll check from one end of the house to the other, then when I'm at the opposite end, he'll sneak around & through rooms, then hide we're I've just looked !!! After 5 min. when I start to hit the panic button, I guess he figures, 'that was cool for the first few minutes, but now, I'm bored Mom......!!!'
(He also knows how to hide in the linen closet BEHIND neatly piled towels/sheets etc.......but I love him so!)

Its a good idea not to consider breeding from a Bengal unless you have considerable experience with the breed. Neutering is best carried out at around 6 months of age, although it can also be carried out when the cat is older. Indiscriminate breeding of any cat is not advised.

This response was written by me on another site after the admin on this site requested information.

However, the important part was omitted. Everyone thinks their cat would have lovely kittens. But because everyone thinks that, there are thousands of cats and kittens left without homes every year - even pedigrees.

If this question is being asked with the intention of breeding, please look at the number of Bengal cats already in rescue. There are literally entire rescues set up for this breed and most others.
