do cats have problems holding thier pee when they get older?
today my cat was sleeping on my bed and there was a tiny wet spot on my bed…it was pee and i was wondering if this is just a one time accident or because shes getting pretty old its getting harder to hold it in…or if she just doesnt notice that she needs to go as well as she use to….will the problem continue?
Like humans, animals do sometimes experience problems holding their bladder as they get older. If she hasn’t been seen by a vet recently then it’s worth taking her for a check-up as it’s something that might easily be resolved with medication.

You should see the vet about this. It could be incontinence, which is a problem in both older cats and older dogs. There are medications that can help fix the problem so your kitty isn't leaking when she's relaxed. The medications are usually quite affordable.
Without treatment, incontinence will continue and likely get worse.

they can. it happens. Perhaps try keeping a litter box near where kitty sleeps so the hike is shorter. Of course, this doesn't solve the problem, but maybe kitty will go before sleeping.
